After leaving we had a nice cruisy drive arriving into Ulladulla at about 2pm. We stopped at the harbour so Jack could go to the bank etc. Ulladulla harbour is so beautiful and has so many memories for me. The funniest thing happened I went to go to the public toilets and they were gone, those toilets had been there forever I could not believe they were gone and the cinderella stairs were gone too i loved those stairs when I was a little girl I used to imagine I was Cinderella everytime I walked down them even as an adult still called them the Cinderella stairs. We drove on through town down to Burrill Lake to Darrells mums and set camper trailer up in her back yard although we did have to do some alterations to her back yard as her clothes line was in the way so no problem says Darrell and he dug it up and moved it lol. After driving all day I did not feel like cooking so Dominos it was. Ulladulla has really come along when I lived there, they had not Dominos, no KFC and no Maccas now they have them all.
Tuesday 21/12/10
Today was just a get unpacked and do grocery shopping day. We took Darrells mum shopping man she can shop. I went round and caught up with my very good friend Learne or Lil as I call her I met her parnter Jeff for the first time and what a lovely guy he is I told her he was a keeper lol. Later in the afternoon we went out to the Silvers for a visit.
Wednesday 22/12/10
Today we decided we would go for a drive down to Batemans Bay to do a bit of last minute shopping and take grandma to visit her brother and sister in law but unfortunately they were not home.
The real reason I wanted to go down there was to buy a beautiful bunch of flowers to leave for my beautiful friend Cristine. It has been 11 months since Cristine and Ken were tragically taken away from us. Stopping at the accident site was something I needed and wanted to do. I was really scared of how this would make me feel, but strangely it was like a weight had been lifted. Ken's workmates have done a beautiful job of the 2 memorial crosses which are by the side of the road with a lovely memorial plaque on them. I left my flowers and for the first time I smiled, I smiled through my tears as I know I cannot see her smiling face, but I can feel her love, I can still hear her quirky laugh, I know she will always be with me in my heart and our memories will never fade. Cristine gave me 17 years of beautiful unconditional love and friendship even though we lived in different states we spoke often knowing each others deepest secrets I thank god every day for the friendship he gave us I know I will see you again one day and I bet heaven is a nicer place with you there. I really really really miss you.
After dinner we decided we would go for a walk and see Denise and Steve but alas Denise was hard at work at her new job. After a bit of a catch up we organised to come around the next day and take Candice to the beach.
Thursday 23/12/10
We woke up to a beautful day and took the kids to the Bogey Hole. The Bogey Hole is one of my favourite places I used to go there all the time when I was a kid and now I love to take my kids there. It is a beautiful sheltered rock pool area.
Unfortunately our lovely day was was ruined with Darrells mum tripping over her dog and falling down her back stairs Darrell had to take her up to the hospital but as it was 11pm at night there was nothing they could do and told him to bring her back in the morning.
Friday 24/12/10 Christmas Eve
Darrell spent 4 hours up at the hospital waiting to get x-rays done on his mum luckily they were all clear no broken bones just very badly bruised. After lunch we went back out to Silvers to pick up Georgia as she had been staying out there. Thats the highlight of her trips to Ulladulla staying with Aunty Tracey. After dinner we took the kids for a walk to wear them out to look at the christmas lights this year there wasnt as many as last year but they were still very pretty.
Saturday 25/12/10 Christmas Day
Funnily enough the kids werent up all that early they slept in til about 8am when they were thrilled to find out Santa had indeed found us. Thomas got heaps of Nerf guns, Taz got Wii sing it, and board games, Jack got Ipod dock, clothes, Georgia got a camera and clothes. All in all they did very well. I received my usual book I love how James Patterson brings out a book every year just in time for christmas he really is my favourite author. We had a very laid back day I cooked roast pork, chicken, and vegetables, made mini pavolovas for dessert and had lots of cheese and crackers through out the day. We were going to try and meet up with the Silvers at the beach but time just go away and we stayed at grandmas all day.
Sunday 26/12/10 Boxing Day
It was another glorious day today, so I decided to take the kids to Mollymook beach, one of Ken's daughters Krissie text me and we organised to meet up. It was lovely to see her and her family and look forward to seeing more of her when she moves to Queensland in March. Our day at the beach was cut short when Tom got stung on his leg by a blue bottle and as he tried to pick it off he also got stung on his fingers. He was very brave and I know he wanted to cry but he didnt, he even got a ride in the lifesavers buggy which he thought was pretty cool.
Monday 27/12/10
We were going to go to Yadboro today but it was to wet. Today was our first day of rain, we have had night time rain but so far had been lucky through the days. We just hung around the tent playing board games. Unfortunately Tom is the Monopoly guru.
Tuesday 28/12/10
Well today was a beautiful day so back to Mollymook beach for us kids had a great time and no blue bottle stings today.
After the beach i took the kids to KFC for lunch as they had been so good. After lunch I took Georgia into town to show her the lighthouse and the view as she hadnt been there.
After the lighthouse Georgia really wanted to go and see the sea pool but we got distracted and didnt make it there. We called into Dee's Funk and Junk man she has some gorgeous treasures in there. If your ever in Ulladulla you should check it out. Then when we were driving through town we saw the 3 Cluss boys sitting on the verandah of the Marlin Hotel (where else would you find them lol) so we parked the car and walked over to the pub to catch up with them. Was really good to see Ben and Mitch but Troy and Alex didnt acknowledge us so thats fine 2 can play there game we didnt acknowledge them either. Mitch told us the address of their holiday house so we called round to see Sam, Brenda and the 4 boys. We could only have a quick visit as I had to get back as we were off to Steve and Denise's for a BBQ which was lovely. Kids swam in the pool and we were able to check out the pool fence that Darrell helped Steve put up good work guys.

Today was a catch up with friends day, firstly I went and saw Nanny and Granda I love them so much and love seeing them. Then Georgia and I went to see Lil and Jeff and we rang the real estate to look at a house we liked I would love to move back to Ulladulla but sadly Darrell doesnt want too. After this Tracey, Kell and Koby and Lisa, Pete, Alden and Deacon came round to us for a visit we had a lovely time with them and kids had a ball playing with the nerf guns. Tonight was to be an early night as we have a big day tomorrow being our last day. Tomorrow we want to go for a drive to Yadboro I havent been there in about 25 years so no doubt a lot has changed so lets hope for nice weather.

Sounds exhausting for a holiday! LOL! Love the photo's. You tell a good story Wendie. Dee's Funk and Junk sounds like an interesting place to visit!
